2026 Mahindra Scorpio-N Gains New Safety Features and New Trim Level
The Mahindra Scorpio-N gains Level 2 ADAS in the top-spec Z8L, while a new Z8T trim level slots into the range.
The 2026 Mahindra Scorpio-N will receive Level 2 ADAS features. A new Z8T trim level is also set to be introduced, slotting in between the Z8 and Z8L variants.
The introduction of a Level 2 ADAS suite has been widely speculated ahead of the updated Scorpio-N’s release, however only the range-topping Z8L variant has been confirmed to be receiving the new safety features.
The new suite debuts Speed Limit Assist and Front Vehicle Start Alert as safety features on internal-combustion-powered Mahindra SUVs.
The ADAS suite is also complete with High Beam Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Smart Pilot Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Traffic Sign recognition.
Furthermore, a new trim – badged as the Z8T – will be positioned between the Z8 and the Z8L model grades.
The Z8T adds additional features over the lower Z8 trim level including 6-way electrically adjustable seats, 18-inch wheels and a 12-speaker Sony sound system.
Australian prices, specifications and a potential launch date for the updated Z8L as well as the possibility of an Australian release for the Z8T are yet to be confirmed by Mahindra.
Updated Mahindra Scorpios arriving in Australia would likely retain the currently offered 2.2 litre turbocharged diesel 4-cylinder producing 129kW and 400Nm along with the 6-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive system.
Australian prices for the Mahindra Scorpio currently start at $41,990 for the Z8 trim level.
