2025 Renault Kangoo Petrol and Electric Vans Updated
Renault has ditched the manual in the Kangoo panel van, but added several updates – while keeping pricing the same.
The 2025 Renault Kangoo small panel van range has received an update in Australia – yet prices have remained the same.
Renault has dropped the manual transmission from the petrol-powered Kangoo range, slimming the range to four models – short- or long-wheelbase bodies with a choice of petrol or electric power.
The petrol Kangoo variants come with a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, sending 96kW and 240Nm to the front wheels through a seven-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission – with a combined fuel consumption claim of 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres.
For those wanting emissions-free transport, the electric Kangoo E-Tech has a 90kW/245Nm electric motor driving the front wheels, fed from a 45kWh battery which – with an unladen driving range of 286 kilometres (WLTP).
The new Kangoo has been updated with a 7.0-inch digital display in the instrument cluster, a digital rear-view mirror, tyre-pressure warning system, driver fatigue monitoring system, along with Renault latest badging.
The Kangoo E-Tech also receives 80kW DC fast charging.
Buyers can also option the Visibility Pack for $1600, which adds LED headlights, LED front fog-lamps, and automatic high-beams, while the $3000 Comfort Pack adds adaptive cruise control, ‘credit card’-style sensor key and push-button start, body-coloured door handles, satellite navigation, blind-sport monitoring, front and side parking sensors, wireless smartphone charger, centre console with arm rest and storage, and climate control.
Those who option the Comfort Pack in the Kangoo E-Tech also get a heated leather steering wheel.
The Trade Pack can also be optioned for an additional $1400, adding a wooden cargo floor, cargo area wall lining, underbody protection, and LED cargo lights.
Short-wheelbase petrol buyers can also increase the payload from 563kg to 763kg for an extra $600, while Renault provides several options for colour-coded bumpers, sliding doors with glass, and rear barn doors.
The 2025 Renault Kangoo has service intervals of 30,000km/12 months (whichever comes first), with capped-price servicing available for up to five years/150,000km.
Petrol-powered Kangoo vans come with a five-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, while the electric Kangoo E-Tech has a five-year/100,000km warranty along with an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty.
