Australian prices and specifications have been confirmed for the 2026 Renault Scenic E-Tech, with prices for the electric small SUV starting from $55,990 before on-road costs. 

Confirmed for a local launch last month, the arrival of the E-Tech marks the return of the Scenic nameplate to the Australian market for the first time since Renault’s compact people mover was last sold Down Under in 2010. 

The Scenic E-Tech rides on the AmpR Medium platform, which it also shares with other electric models such as its Megane E-Tech stablemate, as well as the Nissan Ariya and Leaf.  

Measuring  4,470mm long, 1,864mm wide (with the mirrors folded), 1,565mm tall, and with a wheelbase of 2,785mm, the Scenic E-Tech is similar in size to the Kia EV3, Hyundai Kona Electric, Skoda Elroq, and the Volvo EX30, rivals it will do battle with in the small electric SUV space. 

As for boot volume, with the second row up, the Scenic E-Tech has 545 litres of storage capacity, rising to 1,670 litres with the rear seats down. 

Three variants of the 2026 Scenic E-Tech will be sold in Australia: the Techno EV60, the Techno Long Range EV87 and the range-topping Esprit Alpine EV87. 

The entry-level Techno EV60 is powered by a front electric motor – producing 125kW and 280Nm – good for a 0-100km/h time of 8.6 seconds. Its 60kWh battery allows of a WLTP range of 430km, and has a peak charging capacity of 130kW. 

Outside, the Techno EV60 gets 19-inch alloy wheels, auto-folding exterior mirrors, a power tailgate, and a scrolling indicator animation. 

On the inside, you’ll find a 12-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and embedded Google maps, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a six-speed Arkamys Classic sound system, wireless phone charging, interior ambient lighting, a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, and cloth upholstery. 

The Techno EV60 also comes with four driving modes, including a ‘one-pedal’ driving mode, an EV hallmark feature. 

Its ADAS safety suite includes Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Lane Centring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Speed Sign Recognition, a 360-degree camera view, Hands-Free Parking, and front and rear Door Exit Warning. 

The Techno Long Range EV87 – priced at $59,990 before on-road costs – has a larger battery capacity and electric motor output compared to the standard variant. The front electric motor produces 160kW and 300Nm, with electricity sourced from an 87kWh battery. 

As a result, the Techno Long Range accelerates quicker than the entry-level model, completing the run from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds. Its WLTP range also rises to 625km. The larger battery also has a greater charging capacity in the Techno Long Range at 150kW.

The range-topping Esprit Alpine – with a price tag of $65,990 before on-road costs – uses the same powertrain as the Techno Long Range, but arrives with additional equipment. 

On the outside, it gets 20-inch alloy wheels, Alpine badging and external door trims as well as an Alpine-specific grille design. It also gains the option for matte grey paint, a $1,200 colour choice. 

Its interior additions include Face ID driver recognition for the seat and mirror settings, metal pedals, synthetic leather and cloth seat trim, six-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory, a massaging driver’s seat, aluminium accents on the front door trims, and a nine-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system. 

The Espirt Alpine variant will be the first variant to launch, followed by the two Techno variants. Order books for the Renault Scenic E-Tech have now opened, with the first customer deliveries expected late this year or in early 2026.
