Renault Australia has confirmed the new MY25 Captur will arrive in showrooms in the second half of this year, following a brief hiatus. “The Renault Captur has historically been one of the most popular models in our Australian lineup and dealers have been receiving constant enquiries,” said Glen Sealey, General Manager of Renault Australia.

Renault’s latest design language brings a striking new front end and a more dynamic ride. The Captur measures 4.23m in overall length with a 2.64m wheelbase, featuring a rear bench seat that slides by up to 16cm to adapt to different passenger or cargo needs.

Connectivity is upgraded via the OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in, accessed through a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple USB-C sockets, and a wireless phone charger are standard across the range.

Three trim levels—evolution, techno, and esprit Alpine—offer unique design and equipment packages. Sustainable materials include recycled upholstery, the absence of leather or chrome, and over 26% recycled content in the esprit Alpine trim.

Globally, two powertrains are offered: a 1.0-litre TCe 90 (66 kW/90 hp, 160 Nm) and a 1.6-litre E-Tech full hybrid 145 (107 kW/145 hp, 205 Nm), though it is not confirmed which will be available in Australia. Up to 18 new-generation driving aids, such as Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS) and Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, further enhance safety.

Local pricing and final specifications for Australia, including which engines will be offered, have yet to be locked in. “The MY25 Renault Captur is just one of a number of new and updated Renault models around the corner for Renault Australia,” added Sealey.
