Toyota and Lexus have each issued recalls for 69,856 and 1,987 vehicles respectively over a combination meter software issue. 

In Toyota’s case, the recall affects variants of the C-HR, Camry, Corolla, Kluger and RAV4 built between July 2022 and April 2025. 

The Lexus recall affects examples of the LBX, LM350h, LM500h, LS500 and LS500h built between May 2023 and April 2025. 

Both recalls have been issued as a result of a software glitch affecting a 12.3-inch display on the instrument cluster, with Lexus and Toyota issuing identical statements on the issue. 

“The subject vehicles have a 12.3-inch display on the instrument panel that shows various information (warning and indicator lights, vehicle gauges, messages, etc.). There is a possibility that the display can be blank when the vehicle starts and will remain in this state” the notices read. 

Lexus and Toyota will reach out to customers of affected vehicles to have a programming update installed to rectify the issue free of charge, a process that is expected to take between one and two and a half hours. 

Customers are being urged to keep their details up to date by contacting the manufacturer of their vehicle.
