JAC T9 Ute Launches in Australia with Five-Star ANCAP Safety Rating
JAC begins deliveries of the T9 Ute in Australia, claiming it to be the safest in class with a Five-Star ANCAP rating, priced from $45,670.
JAC Motors has announced that Australian customer deliveries of the JAC T9 dual-cab 4x4 ute have commenced, with the first volume shipment arriving in December 2024. The milestone coincides with the production of the 1,000th Australian-market T9 Ute.
JAC claims the T9 is the 'safest ute in Australia', citing its five-star safety rating under the 2024 ANCAP protocols. The company highlights that the ute achieved the highest aggregated scores across all four pillars of the testing standards.
The JAC T9 is available in two variants, Oasis and Haven, with prices starting from $45,670 drive away. Both models are powered by a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine producing 125kW and 410Nm, paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The ute offers a payload capacity of 1,045kg and can accommodate a full-size Australian pallet in its tub.
The Oasis trim includes features such as a 10.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless charging, and LED lighting, while the Haven variant adds extras like a 360-degree camera and heated front seats. According to JAC, both models come equipped with 16 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
JAC’s warranty package, called All Roads Assurance, includes a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, capped-price servicing, and 24/7 roadside assistance. A loan vehicle program is also included for customers during warranty repairs.
JAC reports that Australian buyers will have access to a range of accessories tailored for local preferences. Test drives are available at JAC’s 62 dealerships nationwide.
