An image posted online may have just unearthed the 2026 Toyota RAV4.

According to Japanese website Creative Trend, the photo claiming to be of the new-generation RAV4 was posted on Chinese social media website, from what appears to be an official Toyota presentation.

Car companies are known to hold highly secret events with dealership staff, revealing future products and company plans.

While as-yet unconfirmed, the image aligns with spy photos published online in late 2024, showing a highly-camouflaged RAV4 undergoing testing. CarSauce has edited the most recent leaked image for clarity.

The RAV4 appears to adopt Toyota’s latest design language, incorporating C-shaped headlights and a honeycomb-style front grille.

Rather than being all-new, it’s understood the new RAV4 will be a significant update of the current vehicle – much like the recently-released Camry – albeit with new hybrid technology developed by Toyota.

Overseas reports have suggest both a plug-in hybrid and battery-electric RAV4 is in development for some markets.

The new Toyota RAV4 is expected to be revealed in the coming months, with deliveries to begin locally in 2026.
