Ford Australia has released pricing and specifications for the updated 2025 F-150, which introduces a new Platinum flagship alongside upgraded versions of the XLT and Lariat.

The updated range gains new design details, equipment enhancements, and improvements to Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) and Gross Combination Mass (GCM), resulting in higher payload capacities.

The familiar 3.5-litre twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine continues to power the line-up, producing 298 kW and 678 Nm. It remains paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard 4X4 Crew Cab configuration.

Braked towing capacity is unchanged at 4500 kg, with the XLT using a part-time 4X4 system and the Lariat and Platinum adopting full-time 4X4.

For 2025, the F-150 range brings price parity between short-wheelbase (145-inch, 5.5-foot tray) and long-wheelbase (157-inch, 6.5-foot tray) versions.

Compared to the outgoing range, pricing has risen by around $8000 for the XLT and $3000–$4000 for the Lariat, while the new Platinum sits roughly $20,000 higher than the Lariat at $163,950 before on-road costs.

All variants continue to be remanufactured locally by RMA Automotive Australia in Mickleham, with first deliveries expected to commence in early 2026.

The facelift introduces several updates across the range. The XLT now features LED lighting front and rear and larger dual 12-inch displays inside.

The Lariat gains the new Pro Access Tailgate, which opens in multiple ways for easier use while towing, along with additional comfort and driver assistance features.

The Platinum brings adaptive dampers, luxury interior finishes, massage seats, and power-deployable side steps.

The refreshed F-150 competes directly with other full-size American pickups sold in Australia, including the Ram 1500 and Chevrolet Silverado.

The Ram 1500 Laramie Sport is priced at $141,950 before on-road costs, while the Limited sits at $159,950.

The Chevrolet Silverado LTZ Premium starts at $130,500, with the off-road-focused ZR2 priced at $138,000.

All variants of the 2025 Ford F-150 record combined fuel consumption of 12.5L/100km under ADR 81/02 testing.

Each model includes six selectable drive modes: Normal, Sport, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery and Off-Road.

The F-150 is built on a fully boxed high-strength steel frame and uses an independent double-wishbone front suspension with a leaf-spring rear.

Heavy-duty gas-pressurised shock absorbers and vented power-assisted disc brakes with an electronic brake booster are fitted across the range.

The short-wheelbase (145-inch) version measures 5894mm long with a 1700mm load floor, while the long-wheelbase (157-inch) version measures 6194mm with a 2000mm load floor.

Width is 2430mm including mirrors (2030mm excluding), and height is 1995mm.

The tub measures 1650mm wide, 1285mm between the arches, and 543mm deep.

Front legroom is listed at 1115mm and rear legroom at 1107mm.
