The KIA Tasman has successfully climbed Beer O’Clock Hill in Queensland in a video posted to the Team Bree Offroad YouTube channel.

Beer O’Clock Hill is a notorious 50-degree incline at The Springs 4x4 Adventure Park – featuring rock steps, holes and loose surfaces – and is a popular destination for off-road enthusiasts.

The Kia Tasman features a 2.2 litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine producing 154kW and 440Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel-drive system on 4x4 variants.

For the climb attempt, no modifications were claimed to have been made to the Tasman, other than swapping the stock tyres for Mickey Thompson Baja Boss All-Terrain tyres.

With Team Bree Offroad presenter, Lucas Bree behind the wheel, the Kia Tasman successfully completed the climb.

A post-climb examination of the Tasman’s underside conducted by Bree – featured in the video – revealed that the ute had sustained no more than light cosmetic damage as a result of the attempt, and was otherwise mechanically sound.

First Australian deliveries of the 2026 Kia Tasman are set for July, arriving first in Dual Cab Pick-Up form with prices starting from $46,490 drive away. Dual Cab and Single-Cab Chassis variants will also be arriving later this year.
