All cab-chassis variants are positioned below their Dual Cab Pick-Up counterparts and can be fitted with Kia Genuine Accessories trays and optional fitments like toolboxes, under-tray drawers, and water tanks.

Built on a new ladder-frame platform, all Tasmans are powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 154kW and 440Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Payload ratings exceed 1,000kg across all variants, with a GVM of 3,250kg and a GCM of 6,200kg, supporting a 3,500kg braked towing capacity and 350kg tow ball rating.

Towing functionality is bolstered by a factory-fitted Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC) and trailer-specific driving modes that adjust shift patterns and active safety systems.

Trailer mode is automatically engaged when a trailer is connected, adjusting throttle and brake response, as well as the behaviour of various safety features accordingly.

All 4X4 variants feature a two-speed transfer case with 2H, 4H, 4L and 4A (Active) modes, enabling automatic torque distribution between axles.

A mechanical locking rear differential is standard on all 4X4 models, with the top-spec X-Pro offering a selectable electronic rear differential lock.

Off-road capability is a key focus, with all 4X4s featuring a solid-axle leaf spring rear suspension and high-mount double wishbone front setup.

The X-Pro adds frequency-selective dampers, revised bump stops, increased spring height, and larger all-terrain tyres, resulting in 252mm of ground clearance.

The X-Pro also gains unique exterior treatments for better approach, departure, and rampover angles — rated at 32.2, 26.2, and 25.8 degrees respectively.

Additional underbody protection, an Off-Road Page with real-time vehicle data, Ground View Monitor, and selectable terrain modes are also included.

Interior equipment varies by trim, with S and SX models featuring cloth seats, SX+ adding a cloth/artificial leather mix, and X-Line and X-Pro using full artificial leather.

All variants include Kia’s Integrated Panoramic Display comprising 12.3-inch driver and infotainment screens and a 5-inch climate display.

X-Line and X-Pro models introduce segment-first rear seat slide-and-recline functions and a folding centre console table. Dual wireless phone charging and Harman Kardon audio are also included in higher grades, along with additional comfort features like seat ventilation and ambient lighting.

Kia Genuine Accessories developed locally include over 40 options, such as snorkels, bull bars, roof storage solutions, canopies, and even a fridge and aromatherapy diffuser. These accessories were designed to support a wide variety of use cases, from off-roading to trade and family adventure.

Kia Australia confirmed that the Tasman will be offered in eight exterior paint options, and three interior trim themes. The full line-up of Tasman models is now rolling out across Australia, with Pick-Up versions already in showrooms and chassis variants following progressively through 2025.
