Australian pricing has been confirmed for the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 9 electric large SUV, priced at $119,750 before on-road costs. 

The Hyundai IONIQ 9 rides on the E-GMP platform, which it also shares with the Kia EV9. However, Hyundai’s offering boasts upped performance figures. 

Electricity for the Hyundai IONIQ 9 comes from a 110.3kWh battery – good for a claimed 600km of WLTP driving range – powering a dual motor all-wheel-drive powertrain with a combined output of 314kW and 700Nm. The IONIQ 9 is also capable of fast charging from 10 to 80 per cent in 24 minutes. 

Now Hyundai’s flagship, the IONIQ 9 is available in a single Calligraphy AWD trim level in either a six or seven seat configuration. 

The IONIQ 9 arrives with 21-inch alloy wheels, LED lights with intelligent front lighting, silver roof rails, heated and folding electric mirrors and panoramic sunroof. 

The interior equipment list includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a heads-up display LED interior lights, a 14-speaker sound system, six USB-C ports, 16-way adjustable driver and passengers, and heated and ventilated front and second row outboard seats to name a few features. 

The six-seat configuration is also available with Universal Island 2.0, wherein the centre console can slide forwards and backwards by 190mm to be accessed by second row passengers. 

The IONIQ 9 is also set to debut Digital Key 2.0 – integrated with Hyundai’s connected service, Bluelink – allowing the vehicle to be opened and started using a smartphone. This digital key can also be shared with up to 15 devices. 

The safety suite on the IONIQ 9 includes but is not limited to 10 airbags, forward, blind-spot and parking collision avoidance, blind-spot view monitoring, lane following and lane keep assist, smart cruise control, surround view monitor and driver attention warning.
