GWM has announced the reintroduction of the Vanta nameplate to its Haval H6 lineup, set to arrive in October 2024. The Vanta is based on the Haval H6 Ultra 2WD and will be powered specifically by the 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.

This powertrain delivers 150 kW at 6300 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm, channelled through a 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission to the front wheels.

Externally, the Vanta is distinguished by black styling enhancements that add a bolder look to the H6 lineup. The key visual features include a black front grille and 19-inch black alloy wheels. These updates aim to “'add unique kerbside appeal,' according to GWM’s press release.

Steve Maciver, GWM Haval’s Head of Marketing & Communications, states that “the re-introduction of the Vanta nameplate to the Haval H6 range continues to provide our customers with unique choice and personalisation through the range.”

Standard equipment on the H6 Vanta includes features from the H6 Ultra 2WD, such as a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Vanta also retains the safety suite of the Ultra variant, with autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera as standard.

Priced at $36,990 driveaway (excluding premium paint), the Vanta comes with GWM Care, which includes a 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty, 5 years of roadside assistance, and 5 years of capped-price servicing.

The Haval H6 Vanta will be available in four colour options: Burgundy Red, Hamilton White, Blue Sapphire, and Golden Black.

While the Vanta comes with the 2.0L turbo engine, the broader Haval H6 lineup also offers a hybrid variant for those seeking an alternative powertrain.

The H6 Hybrid pairs a 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a combined output of 179 kW and 530 Nm of torque.
