GWM Adds Turbo-Diesel Variant to Tank 300 Lineup
GWM adds a 2.4L turbo-diesel Tank 300 variant with 3,000kg towing capacity, priced from $47,990 driveaway. 3-year free servicing in March.
GWM has introduced a turbo-diesel variant of the Tank 300, which will be available in two grades: Lux and Ultra. The new variant joins the existing petrol and hybrid options in the lineup.
The Tank 300 diesel is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel four-cylinder engine producing 135kW at 3600 rpm and 480Nm of torque from 1500 to 2500 rpm. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and has a combined fuel consumption of 7.8L/100km.
The diesel variant increases the Tank 300’s braked towing capacity to 3,000kg, compared to 2,500kg in the petrol and hybrid versions. GWM says the new model “builds on the success of our rugged off-road range,” according to Steve Maciver, Head of Marketing & Communications at GWM.
The Lux variant is priced at $47,990 driveaway, while the Ultra costs $51,990 driveaway. “With impressive towing capability, refined performance, and two well-equipped grades, this new variant reinforces our commitment to delivering versatile and capable vehicles,” Maciver said.
GWM states that the Tank 300 diesel comes with a 7-year/unlimited KM warranty, 7-year roadside assistance, and 7-year capped price servicing. The brand’s Australian network includes 113 dealerships.
Customers who purchase a Tank 300 diesel in March 2025 will receive three years of complimentary scheduled servicing.
