The Ford Mustang has been recalled in Australia due to a Body Control Module fault, affecting 7,222 examples across all variants built between 2022 and 2025. 

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the Body Control Module (BCM) may be susceptible to water ingress. As a result, the front and rear side marker lamps, taillamps, and license plate lamps may not operate as intended,” the original recall notice reads. 

Mustang owners affected by the recall will be contacted by Ford Australia, asking them to schedule an appointment to have the issue rectified for free.
