Recent sightings and social media posts have unveiled the latest iteration of Tesla's electric sedan, the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance, also rumored to be dubbed the "Ludicrous" edition - according to an X post by user @BooDev

This anticipated model has been captured fully exposed to the public eye, indicating an official introduction could be imminent. Notably, these vehicles, showcasing a range of colors including red, blue, black, and grey, were observed in Malibu, near Los Angeles, adorned with Texas manufacturer license plates, hinting at a comprehensive media preview that might have taken place.

The 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance promises significant enhancements over its predecessor, especially in aesthetics and performance metrics.

Key visual updates include distinct front and rear bumpers, a new front splitter, a carbon-fibre rear spoiler, 20-inch 'Warp' design wheels with aero inserts, and striking red brake calipers, marking a clear distinction from the regular Model 3 variants. Additionally, the boot lid now features a "Ludicrous" badge, paying homage to the cult classic film "Spaceballs," a nod to Elon Musk's well-known appreciation for the movie.

Performance upgrades are equally impressive, with the updated Model 3 Performance/Ludicrous purportedly achieving up to 461kW of power.

This boost results from combining a 158kW front motor with a new, more potent 303kW rear motor, offering disparate peak power outputs. Acceleration times are reportedly improved, with the vehicle capable of reaching 0-60mph in just 2.9 seconds, down from the previous 3.2 seconds, translating to a 0-100km/h time of approximately 3.0 seconds.

In addition to these performance and design upgrades, the 2024 model is expected to introduce adaptive suspension and redesigned sports seats with enhanced bolstering for a more engaging driving experience. While the previous Performance model's power output ranged between 357kW to 393kW, this iteration signifies a notable increase, though Tesla typically refrains from disclosing specific power figures.
