Honda Australia has confirmed that the Honda Super-ONE, a compact electric vehicle derived from the brand’s N-One Kei car, will launch locally in the second half of 2026.

The model was first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2025 and will go on sale in Japan next year before being introduced to other Asian markets and the UK.

Developed from the Honda Super EV concept revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Super-ONE focuses on delivering an engaging driving experience within a compact footprint.

It features a model-exclusive “Boost Mode” that simulates a 7-speed transmission, producing gearshift sensations and a virtual engine sound to replicate the feel of a conventional petrol-powered car.

Measuring under 3.6 metres long and 1.6 metres wide, the Super-ONE adopts a low stance with wide track proportions intended to improve stability and handling.

The body incorporates front and rear air ducts designed for cooling and aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside, the cabin layout prioritises visibility and driver focus, with a horizontal dashboard and model-specific sports seats for additional support.

Subtle blue interior accents are used to distinguish the Super-ONE from other models in Honda’s line-up, and a Boost Mode button is positioned on the steering wheel.

Honda Australia President and CEO Jay Joseph said the Super-ONE is designed to suit the needs of city-based Australians.

“Honda Super-ONE is a unique proposition for Australians living and working in dense urban environments, blending small car usability with premium Honda design and engineering,” he said.

The Super-ONE has been tested in Japan’s urban and highway conditions, with local testing to follow ahead of its Australian introduction.

The evaluation program will confirm the model’s suitability for local roads, charging systems, and safety standards.

Following the arrivals of the new Prelude and updated e:HEV versions of the CR-V and ZR-V, the Honda Super-ONE will further expand Honda Australia’s electrified vehicle range in 2026.
