Australia's Top 10 Best-Selling Vehicles of July 2025
Toyota has claimed the top 2 sales spots with the HiLux and RAV4, knocking the Ford Ranger to third place for the first time this year.
The Toyota HiLux is back on top of new vehicle sales in Australia, with 4,676 examples of the ute sold in July 2025.
For the first time this year, Toyota has locked out the top two spots for monthly sales figures, with the RAV4 SUV assuming second place with 4,415 sold.
The Japanese marque claimed five of the top 10 sales figures spots, with the Prado, Landcruiser and Corolla taking sixth, seventh and ninth respectively.
June’s top seller, the Ford Ranger – which hasn’t ranked lower than second in sales figures all year – has dropped to third place, with 3,930 units sold, followed in fourth by its Everest SUV counterpart with 2,425 units sold.
Another ute offering, the Isuzu D-Max – while down two spots from its third place in June – continues to hold a spot in the top 10, which it has done for all of 2025.
SUVs and Utes continue to dominate the top 10, with the ninth-place Toyota Corolla the only non-SUV or Ute offering featured among the top performers.
The Corolla – which also made the top 10 in April – is the only non-SUV or ute to feature in a month’s top 10 best sellers in 2025.
For the first time this year, an offering from Chery featured among the top 10 best sellers, with the Tiggo 4 Pro small SUV claiming eighth place with 2,065 vehicles sold.
The Tiggo 4 Pro proved to be the best-selling car in the small SUV segment for July over the Hyundai Kona, which missed out on the overall top 10 by 11 cars. Instead, the larger Hyundai Tucson rounded off the top 10 with 1,914 cars sold.
Chery becomes the 11th manufacturer in 2025 to feature a vehicle in the top 10, and the third Chinese brand to do so. The MG ZS and BYD Shark 6 have previously posted top 10 sales volume figures this year, however both were absent from July’s top performers.
