2025 Kia EV3 Small Electric SUV Price and Specs
The latest electric small SUV from Kia has arrived, with the EV3 priced from less than $50,000 drive-away.
The 2025 Kia EV3 will land in Australia in late March 2025, priced from $48,990 drive-away ($49,990 drive-away in Western Australia) for the base model.
Kia is offering four models across the line-up: the EV3 Air Standard Range, the EV3 Air Long Range, the EV3 Earth Long Range, and the range-topping EV3 GT-Line Long Range, which tops out at $68,490 drive-away (excluding ACT, $70,490 drive-away in WA).
All EV3 models are powered by a single electric motor, which sends 150kW and 283Nm to the front wheels.
The entry-level EV3 Air Standard Range is the only model to be offered with a 58.3kWh battery, delivering a claimed driving range of 436 kilometres (WLTP) – with all other variants getting the larger 81.4kWh battery.
Like the Air Standard Range, the EV3 Air Long Range is fitted with 17-inch wheels, allowing for the best driving range in the line-up – 604 kilometres (WLTP) – while both the EV3 Earth and GT-Line models get 19-inch wheels, contributing to driving ranges of 563km each (WLTP).
Despite being an SUV, the EV3 has a low aerodynamic rating of just 0.26Cd, while the vehicle can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just over 30 minutes using a 350kW fast charger.
All models are fitted with an ultra-wide screen, incorporating a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 5.3-inch screen for the climate control positioned between.
Along with five seats, the EV3 has 460 litres of boot space with the second row of seats in place.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, as is the wireless smartphone charging pad, 360-degree cameras, and Kia’s iPedal 3.0 – which allows for one-pedal driving while maximising regenerative braking.
The Kia EV3 will be able to receive updates via an over-the-air system (OTA).
The 400-volt architecture also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L), allowing owners to power devices using the car’s battery – from laptop chargers to fridges in the event of a blackout.
Earth and GT-Line variants gain artificial leather and a powered tailgate, while the range-topping GT-Line also gets a head-up display, a wide sunroof, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system.
The EV3 also benefits from Kia’s latest safety suite, which includes autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruis control with highway assist, lane-change assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a centre side airbag (among others).
All Kia models come with a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty, seven years of capped-price servicing, while the battery is covered by a two-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty.
