The 2025 Hyundai Tucson is set to arrive in Australian showrooms soon, featuring a hybrid drivetrain option and updated technology.

This release will see a discontinuation of the turbo-diesel engine and introduces price increases across various models.

Hyundai has replaced the previously available turbo-diesel engine with a new 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid drivetrain, also available in non-hybrid forms, alongside the existing 2.0-litre petrol engine.

The hybrid system is shared with the Kia Sportage and will be offered in both front- and all-wheel drive configurations.

Updates to the Tucson include a redesigned front bumper, grille, and standard LED headlights across all models.

The interior upgrades feature dual 12.3-inch screens, an updated steering wheel, and a revised climate control panel.

The entry-level Hyundai Tucson now starts at $39,100, marking a $3,450 increase from the previous model.

The new hybrid models start at $45,100, and the price for turbocharged non-hybrid variants has increased by $3,950.

In terms of drivetrains, the Tucson offers three engine options and five drivetrain combinations.

The hybrid model combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor, producing a total output of 169kW and 350Nm.

The vehicle also features updated infotainment systems that support over-the-air software updates and include both wireless and wired connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As Hyundai prepares to launch the 2025 Tucson, the model adjustments reflect a shift towards more environmentally friendly options at a higher cost.
