Hyundai Australia has announced pricing for the 2025 Santa Fe 2.5T petrol variants, which will join the lineup alongside the existing Hybrid models in the coming weeks. The 2.5T powertrain introduces a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

This powertrain delivers 207 kW of power and 422 Nm of torque, offering a more traditional alternative to the existing 1.6-litre turbocharged hybrid system, which combines petrol and electric power to produce a combined 169 kW and 350 Nm.

While the 2.5T petrol engine prioritises outright performance with its higher outputs, the hybrid system focuses on efficiency and lower emissions, appealing to different customer preferences. The hybrid range features a six-speed automatic transmission and is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive, similar to the petrol variants. The introduction of the 2.5T gives buyers more flexibility, whether prioritising power or fuel economy.

The Manufacturer’s List Price for the entry-level 2.5T GDi front-wheel drive model is set at $53,000, while the all-wheel drive version starts at $56,000. Moving up the range, the Elite grade is priced at $62,500, and the top-tier Calligraphy grade is $72,500. These prices exclude dealer delivery and on-road costs.

By comparison, the hybrid range starts at $55,500 for the front-wheel drive version, with the all-wheel drive Elite at $65,000 and Calligraphy at $75,000.

Optional extras for both the petrol and hybrid variants include a six-seat configuration exclusive to the Calligraphy grade at $500, premium metallic or mica paint finishes for $695, matte paint for $1,000, and interior colour choices such as Supersonic Grey, Forest Green, or Pecan Brown for $295.

The Santa Fe’s redesign brings an extensive feature set, including Hyundai SmartSense safety technologies, a 12.3-inch curved panoramic display, and Bluelink Connected Car Services with Over-The-Air updates.

Safety features such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Parking Distance Warning are standard across the range, with higher trims adding advanced systems like Highway Driving Assist. The interior offers flexible configurations, with premium materials such as Nappa leather available on the Calligraphy grade.

The 2.5T petrol models are expected to appeal to buyers seeking a more powerful engine option without the hybrid’s reliance on an electric motor, while maintaining the practicality and technology that the Santa Fe range is known for. The new models will arrive in Australian dealerships in the coming weeks.
