Chery has launched the 2024 Tiggo 8 Pro Max, its largest model in Australia, with a starting price of $41,990 drive-away.

Positioned as one of the more budget-friendly seven-seat SUVs, it competes with models like the Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan X-Trail, and Honda CR-V, while being priced higher than the Mahindra XUV700 and LDV D90.

The Tiggo 8 Pro Max measures 4720mm in length, 1860mm in width, and 1705mm in height, with a 2710mm wheelbase.

It offers 117 litres of boot space with all seats up, expanding to 479 litres with the third row folded.

This model is priced $2000 higher than the Tiggo 7 Pro, which only has five seats and a smaller 1.6-litre engine.

Powering all Tiggo 8 Pro Max variants is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 180kW and 375Nm, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Front-wheel-drive models have a fuel consumption rating of 8.1 litres per 100 kilometers, while the all-wheel-drive variant consumes 8.7 litres per 100 kilometers.

The entry-level Urban variant includes features like 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, dual 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia, heated and ventilated front seats, synthetic leather interior trim, and an eight-speaker Sony stereo.

It also offers a suite of active safety technologies, including auto emergency braking, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

The mid-range Elite model, priced at $43,990 drive-away, adds a power tailgate, heated exterior mirrors, a built-in dashcam, third-row air vents, illuminated door sills, and a retractable cargo blind.

The top-spec Ultimate, at $47,990, features 19-inch alloy wheels, a fragrance system for the climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 10-speaker Sony audio system, and brown synthetic leather interior trim.

All Tiggo 8 Pro Max models come with a seven-year warranty, seven years of capped-price servicing, and seven years of roadside assistance.

Available in eight colours, including white, silver, blue, violet, two greys, green, and black, the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is now on sale in Australia.
